Welcome! We are so glad you are here! At Valley Center Middle School, we believe that education is a collaborative effort, and we greatly value the partnership between our dedicated educators, parents/guardians, and the Valley Center community. Together, we can inspire and empower our students to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.

Mrs. Edwards earned her bachelor of science degree in Education from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 2012 and went on to earn her master of science degree in ESOL with an emphasis in Building Leadership from Newman University in 2015. Starting in 2012, she spent her first eight years in education as a teacher at Valley Center High School. She has been in a school leadership position since 2020. Her professional license endorsements include 6-12 Biology, 6-12 Earth and Space Science, PreK-12 ESOL, PreK-12 Physical Education, and PreK-12 Building Leadership.

Mr. Unrau received his bachelor of arts degree in history and social sciences from Bethel College in 2005 and his master's degree in education administration from Emporia State University in 2020. He has taught social studies for the past eight years at Valley Center High School, where he has also been the head boys basketball coach since 2015 and an assistant baseball coach since 2016. He has also been an assistant football coach at Valley Center Middle School since 2015. Unrau has previously taught social studies at Douglass High School and Garden Plain High School.

Mr. Jones received his bachelor's degree in education history in 2010 and a bachelor's degree in government 6–12 in 2016, both from Wichita State University, and his master's degree in education administration from Emporia State University in 2023. He has taught American history at Valley Center Middle School for the past seven years, where he has also been the student council sponsor and assistant baseball coach. He previously coached baseball at Valley Center High School, football and baseball at Maize South High School, and wrestling at Maize South Middle School.
